What Faces Canada says about the product :

There seem to be a lot of colors listed on the website which I’ve not seen in stores and strangely Forest green seems to be missing :\ Also, the image shown on the website does not correspond to how the liner actually looks, same with the quantity!

Anyway, this is what they claim –

Soft gentle pencils in a rainbow of shades. Use them to enhance your natural eye color for dramatic effect or give you that bright-eyed glow. Gentle and safe for sensitive eyes.

My take on the product :

I was recommend this eye pencil by Natasha..correction- HIGHLY recommended this product by Natasha and since I was on a lookout for a green pencil that time I picked up this pencil right away!

It comes in a mechanical sharpen-able pencil packaging with a colored end and cap which makes it easy to identify the shades.

The texture of this product is really creamy and soft and it sets to a waterproof, smudge proof finish within seconds of application. Quite easy to apply, no tugging or pulling, can draw lines as thin as one wants by sharpening the pencil to a fine tip. I generally do not recommend using waterproof liners on waterline but if you have tried and it works for you then you can go ahead and use these on waterline too!

The liner is well pigmented. Single swipe gives good color but just out of habit I go over it 2-3 time to make it intense.  The color stays the same till taken off with a makeup remover. Despite their long wear finish, they come off easily with a makeup remover (I use Cetaphil cleansing lotion).  Priced very well for the quantity and quality, these are a must-have for everyone!

These come in lots of attractive colors– in both matte and frost finish. The Navy Blue shade is already a big hit and is currently out-of-stock in most places!

The shade Forest Green –

True to its name, its a forest green shade with a frost finish. The color definitely draws a bit of attention and gives a glow to the face. The frost finish is not too much so it can be used for everyday wear too. It particularly looks great when worn with yellow outfits and paired with a bright pink lipstick!

Overall Verdict : It is one of the best value for money eye pencil in the market – Hygienic , easy to locate, sharpen-able packaging / super soft creamy texture / high pigmentation /waterproof, smudge proof finish/ affordable price ! Comes in many attractive shades. Forest green is a medium frosty bright forest green shade- livens up the eyes.

Highly highly recommended to everyone!

    1. I know! Everyone’s looking for it and its out of stock ! I like the Green better on me than the blue one though!

      1. OMG……yeah…In fact just now I went and saw all your LOOKS post…heheh…Ok I was just noticing the makeup..Probably the lens looked obvious to me in this pic only…hehe

  1. hi ankita have been reading your blog for a long time.all ur tutes and posts are highly practical and u make it look supa easy. i want to kick myself for not picking this up when it was on sale on fny for like 140 bux or so . i kept on dilly-dallying till someone snapped it up. i totally love greens and have like almost all shades of green eye shadows but still want more.sorry for the long comment but i love ur blog

    1. Hi Banani, welcome! I’m glad you like reading my posts! 🙂 I too love greens for eye makeup..this product at 140 would have been a steal! No worries, you can pick it up later sometime..its a gorgeous shade!

    1. Ik u must try this out..its a beautiful collection from faces…i evn swatched their eyeshadows…they were so pigmented……thinking of buying them next month…already did dis months shopping…:((

i guess it willl luk eqaully gud on u too…

        1. 😛 😛 You should get this..its really good! Along with the metal brown and purple! Mehak reviewed the purple long time back..!

    1. It smudges?!! This is the first time I’m hearing this cos they are waterproof completely on most people..maybe u got a defective piece or something? I too think you should get the Navy blue one! 😛

      1. Ya I’ve read a lot of reviews on this & all say ‘smudge proof’ But for the price, I just have to get 1 or 2 more. I’m eyeing the blue & a glittery brown one.

        1. I just checked my eye pencil & it’s different from the one you’ve shown. It doesn’t say long wear & also looks different. Maybe it’s a plain eye pencil. Now I’m definitely buying one of these 😀

          1. No. The pencil looks similar to yours, except for the lid which is also black. Only the tip is the same colour as the pencil – grey. Also, it says ‘eye liner pencil’.

    1. Btw I saw the green eye shadow at the Faces counter- I guess thats the one u picked up! It was gorgeous..a bit on the khaki side. Green suits warm skin tones really well!

      1. Any suggestions how I could use it? It is good, but not such great staying power. And needs some kind of base to show up on my lids.

        1. Ohh thats too bad. You could use a brown pencil as base..will bring out the khaki tones in it for a subtle soft smokey look. You can use it to set green eye pencils, smudge them lightly after application. You could do a full green smokey eye using green and black eye pencils as base and applying this on top. Or you could just apply this on your lower lash line, kohl and mascara- colored lower lash line looks very interesting!

          1. Thanks! Loads to try out, will definitely use your suggestions. So far I’ve just used it with the highligher colour on chai latte, green pencil and kajal. It is pretty shimmery too.

          2. Ohh sounds nice! If you try out anything from my suggestions do let me know how it turns out! I like the sound of shimmery green 😛

  2. I am also highly satisfied with Faces products. I have been eyeing the pencils too. but with my present hoard of eye pencils, I’m waiting for those to be finished

  3. Awww ankita…me too bought the same pencil in navy blue….& i m loving it dis dayz….got it in Rs.225(discount of 10%) in inorbit vashi….the pencil is so creamy & smooth & stays long day on me…jst love it….

  4. I have the purple one in this and its lovely but i find these slightly hard to sharpen…actually i have two from faces- one is super smooth and easy to sharpen and the other isnt. I guess it differs shade to shade

    1. Ya it differs from shade to shade. I remember reading your review..the other on is the Dark green one right? I have the much sought after Navy Blue but I like this green one more. Both sharpen fairly easily.

  5. I am crazy about these pencils! I have these in blue, black, green, grey and brown 😛 They’re great for those with bad bad eye-lining skills and are in a rush every morning.

    1. Pencil liners are a blessing for the beauties in a hurry 😛 You didn’t try the purple one from this range..its gorgeous!

  6. The SA at Faces had applied this color on my lash line, and I had tough time removing it even after 9 hours with lotus cleanser! Its looking great on you 🙂

  7. I love faces pencil…..navy blue and brown both are nice! Even this looks awesome….but I hv too many green liners 😛 🙂
