I am a self confessed foodie and I need a snack almost every 2 hours! Here are some of my 5 favorite healthy indulgences that make fabulous in-between meals and are healthy as well! 🙂
1. Fruit Yogurt
I absolute love fruit yogurt and my favorite is Mother Dairy because is so much smoother than the other brands and contains fruit bits as well. Currently loving Plum and Blueberry though Mango is my all time favorite!
2. Dry Fruits
They are excellent source of minerals and contain essential nutrients. My favorites include Almonds (Badaam), Cashews (kaju), Pistachios (pista), Dried Fig (anjeer) and Prunes! Prunes and Anjeers are a healthy way to curb sweet cravings too! Dry fruits are great for skin, hair and nail growth as well.
I try to stick to the classic low-butter variety! Excellent munching companion with a gripping novel!
4. Roasted Peanuts and Chana
These are loaded with nutrients and make a great snack! I really like the the Lime/Mint flavored Peanuts from Jabsons!
One should consume at least 2 fruits a day and the more colorful and varied your fruit plate, the better! I haven’t been very regular with my fruit intake but hoping to get back on track with some pineapples, mangoes and pomegranate!
