Few weeks back, I’d shown you my Lush Haul featuring a trial set of 3 face masks. Brazened Honey was the first one I tried from the set and here’s the review –
Price : $6.95 for 2.1 oz
What Lush says about Brazened Honey :
Brazened Honey was inspired by traditional Indian Ayurvedic principles, which put emphasis on balance as the foundation to health. Fresh free-range eggs and honey soften, lime oil brightens, spices warm the skin and ground almonds exfoliate. Kaolin clay reaches deep down into pores to pull out dirt and impurities, leaving your skin noticeably brighter and fresher. Our deepest cleansing mask, Brazened Honey is the perfect way to revive sluggish or congested skin.

My take on the Product
I was drawn to Brazened Honey as its a deep cleansing + exfoliating mask and I was reminded of the Avene Cleanance Mask which did the same thing and had worked very well for me. The mask has a slightly dry texture so you need a add a few drops of water to spread it easily on the skin. It also has strong scent which everyone may not like (my husband said it smelled weird) but I find it interesting though not ‘pleasant’. Lush products always smell very different and more often than not, unusual!
Being clay based, it dries within 5 minutes (I apply a thin layer) but I keep it on for 10-15 minutes for the clay to work its magic on my pores. I then use moist fingers to gently massage and rinse off the mask. The ground almonds exfoliate and remove dead skin as you wash off the mask. The mask leaves my skin looking and feeling very clean, fresh and bright. It feels softer as well and my toner/moisturizer etc. seems to sink in better after using this. My pores look smaller and my skin looks and feels smoother and not devoid of moisture after each use. It has also helped me get rid of a few breakouts along my jawline. Overall, Lush Brazened Honey mask is a winner in my book and I can see myself purchasing the full size once my trial pack is over. Will definitely recommend this for people with oily or congested skin!
Rating : 4.5/5
