The Body Shop (Japan) Haul!

Hey everyone!

The Body Shop Japan has launched some exciting products lately and a visit to the store was much overdue! Here’s what I picked up, check out my haul below –

I love the Strawberry range from TBS, it smells so refreshing and in the summers, I just can’t resist the lovely fruity scent! I picked up the travel sized bottle of the shower gel.

My DHC Cleansing Oil is almost over and I was on the lookout for a new one. One of the readers had recommended this (I’m sorry I don’t recall who it was!) and I decided to try it out. I love using cleansing oils, can’t wait to try this.

It was love at first sniff with the Blueberry range! It smells fruity, a little sweet but with the tartness of the berry. I haven’t tried these yet but these are going into my shower tomorrow! I picked the Shower Gel and Body Lotion. Had a tough time not picking the scrub (since I already have many scrubs that I need to finish up!). The Body Shop also has a Raspberry range here (recently launched) which I didn’t like – has a very sweet smell and didn’t feel as refreshing as the Blueberry one.

I haven’t tried a lot of The Body Shop makeup especially in recent years. But the Color Crush range has some good reviews in the blogosphere and I thought I’d give these a try!

This was my first time swatching the Color Crush eye shadows and I was blown away by the silky texture and great pigmentation! Hoping these will be as phenomenal on the eyes as they were during swatching. I picked up a warm peachy golden shade and a bright raspberry pink.

I’ve heard a lot of good reviews of the Color Crush lipsticks lately and I found 2 ranges at the store – one high pigment satin finish and another shine version – more balmy, sheer and hydrating. I picked one shade from each range. The colors are perfect for the summer! I’m wearing the sheer one (on the left in the pic below) today and I love it!

And lastly, I picked up the Tea Tree Blotting Tissues which are a handbag staple for the summers. I have used these previously and I like them.

The Body Shop is launching 2 more products soon – Body Sorbets (gel based body lotions) and a gel moisturizer from the Vitamin E range. These are summer specials – hence the light gel texture and cooling feel. They had testers at the store though they aren’t available for sale yet and I loved the Strawberry Body Sorbet! TBS has also launched a makeup base called InstaBlur which is an all-in-one makeup primer. I was curious to try it but I have many primers in my stash already hence skipped. You can read more about it .

  1. Lovely haul post…ankita can you share ur views about camomile cleansing oil if you have tried it???actually i also want to get a good one…because the others which i have tried before they tend to enhance the pores alot and many of them broke me out πŸ™

  2. I liked all the products in your haul. that eye shadow packing is similar to maybelline cheeky glow blush I think. I have only one tbs product ie face and body brush.. I bought it inspired by your tutorials.

  5. Hi Ankita,
My name is Priya and am from UK. I love your videos to the core and have never missed even a single video of yours. I follow your blog religiously. Am so curious to know your comments on the body shop virgin minerals liquid foundation. Am planning to buy one but need your suggestion. Please respond whenever you have time. This will be extremely helpful. Also am dusky skinned complexion and looking for foundation that gives a dewy finish. Please suggest few. Thank you very so much in advance.

    1. Hey Priya, I have not tried the TBS EVM liquid foundation but I hear its good for dry skin. I have used the creamy compact from the same range and it was really nice – gives the dewy finish you're looking for.
