Cream Blush Picks for Winter

Hey everyone!

Winters are almost here and its time to bring out the cream blushes! I have oily skin generally and I rarely use cream blushes during the spring/summer months but during winters when my skin leans more combination, I love a dewy flush of color on my cheeks! Here are some of my cream blushes along with my favorites that I use most often –

Ben Nye Cream Blush Wheel (pictured bottom right below)

This one is the ultimate one for cream blush lovers! The wheel contains 6 shades in a variety of hues ranging from bright reds to neutral soft pinks. The formula is like a dry cream so it doesn’t make the skin oily or greasy. I have used this a lot in the past and because of the satiny formula, I could use this in the warmer months as well. Ben Nye is available at Beauty Center in Mumbai and this wheel is priced around Rs 700-800, pretty sweet deal for 6 great colors in my opinion!

Chanel Cream Blush Revelation

The Chanel cream blush formula is really versatile because it instantly transforms to a powdery finish when you blend it. Has a more satiny than dewy finish which makes it compatible with all skin types! If you like a more powdery finish but would like to try out a cream blush, do check this out. They have some beautiful shades too. Revelation is a warm coral pink that works great with light to medium skin. Price : Rs 2300.

MAC Casual Color Keep it Casual

Casual Colors was a limited edition launch last year sometime featuring lip/cheek cream products. The formula is very creamy, well pigmented and has a very dewy finish. So if you want that glowy, radiant look with just a single product, this is the one to go for though these can be hard to find, being LE. Keep it casual is a soft wine red color, looks a little intense in the pot but comes out really pretty on the skin! Price : Rs 1350.

Revlon Photoready Cream Blush Coral Reef

This is a vibrant orange color in the pot but sheers down on the skin to give a warm sheer coral flush. The color is more suited for the summer months but I don’t mind using it any time of the year. The formula is slightly dry and has a satiny, powdery finish when you blend it out – similar to the Chanel formula but a lot less powdery than Chanel’s cream blushes. There are some pretty pink and wine colors in this range if you can find these (not available in India). Price : $7.99.

NYX is known for its cream blushes and Natural is perhaps their most popular shade! Its a very natural tone of peachy pink that gives a soft flush of color to the skin. Best suited for light to medium complexions. The formula is quite creamy and has a dewy finish – would work great during the dry winter months! Price : $6.00.

Canmake Cream Cheek Blush CL04

This was my most used blush last winter! Canmake is a Japanese drugstore brand that makes these fabulous little cream blushes and this one is my favorite! The blush has a gel like texture, is well pigmented and blends down to a sheer dewy finish. This shade gives a really pretty rosy flush to my skin and it stays on really well too! Price : JPY 580 (Rs 350)

  1. I actually really liked the Canmake one. I have it in a different colour but it’s so tiny and easy to carry in a handbag. I really like the Nyx formula too, especially so since I have dry skin. 🙂

  2. Hey Ankita
Nice collection of cream blushes I am still a begginner and I just bought Maybellines blush in creamy cinnamon which is great. I dont know how to work with cream blushes and cream blushes are still new to me
But for begginners oriflame blushes would be great instead of spending alot in chanel and mac.

  3. i have Maybelline dream touch blush in shade 7..i like it but i hope it was not shimmery so that i can use it for day time….formul wise its nice……i love canmake shade much.
