Today I am reviewing the in a neutral color – Earthy Touch. My natural tendency is to gravitate towards pink and coral blushes but I wanted something earthier and more neutral in tone and Earthy Touch fits the bill perfectly.

Colorbar Cheek Illusion Blush Earthy Touch Review

There was a time when Colorbar blushes used to come in a less fancy packaging but at the very affordable price tag of Rs 300! I had many favorites like Peachy Rose and Just Earth but sadly Colorbar revamped their blush range to the Cheek Illusion range which isn’t as reasonable but quite nice otherwise. Colorbar has done away with the mirror and brush in this range making the packaging very sleek and compact.

Earthy Touch is an light brown shade with a peachy tone and contains fine silver shimmer. I really wish the shimmer was golden (instead of silver) and more refined. It doesn’t give the dreaded disco ball look but the silver flecks are obvious up close. I quite like this color despite the unflattering silver flecks – its the kind of blush I want to go for when I want a natural, no-blush look. It adds a soft warmth to the skin without adding a very heavy color. I think this is a fantastic natural shade for fair to medium complexions. This might not show very well on deeper complexions. Regarding the formula, its very silky, soft and smooth in texture but a little powdery. So if you use a scratchy brush, you’ll end up kicking up some excess powder in the pan. A brush with soft bristles will work better since the powder is very soft. The blush blends seamlessly into the skin and wears quite well for 6-7 hours.

I think the formula is quite nice and I love the silky softness of the powder. The color is perfect for a natural look as well and works pretty much with any lip color. The only thing I do not like about this blush is the silver flecks. A more refined golden sheen would have worked beautifully with this soft warm color!

Rating : 4/5

  1. Lovely blush Ankita! Looks gorgeous on you! Its a perfect one for a less made up and a very natural look ! Loved it. Will definitely try it out for sure.

  2. I love earthy neutral blushes! If you’re into them at the moment, the Maybelline Cheeky Glow in Creamy Cinnamon is also a great option. It also has silver micro shimmers, but they’re not over the top, and the colour is really pretty!

  5. I was searching for a neutral blush review .. Here you’ve mentioned that you didnt like the silver shimmer. Have you tried Maybelline cheeky blush Creamy cinnamon?I believe you’d reviewed one from that range. Creamy cinnamon is gorgeous Ankita.. I use it all the time. And it has the finest, prettiest golden shimmer in it and not silver as Crisanda had mentioned above!and please do review Colorbars Shine and Jelly glosses! we would like to know what the shade selection really is like!
