Today I have another NARS blush review for you, a gorgeous pink blush – Angelika. This is described as a “cotton candy pink with gold and silver sparkle”. I picked this up last month around my birthday. Since I already had a deeper warmer pink (Amour), a rich coral (Torrid), a dusty rose (Outlaw) and a neutral (Unlawful) in my collection, a bright pink like this seemed like a nice pick to add to my NARS blush collection.

NARS Angelika Blush Review
NARS has several gorgeous pink blushes and I was debating whether to pick Angelika, Desire or Mata Hari. I ended up with Angelika because it seemed more wearable than the other two and I don’t have a shade like this. I also read some great reviews for this and when I tried it on in the store, it just lit up my face. I love pink blushes because they add such a lovely, healthy color to the face that instantly makes you look fresh and awake. Angelika is no exception and the bit of sparkle it has adds a beautiful luminous glow to the skin. I used to be more of a matte blush gal but I’ve been loving more luminous blushes lately since they add a nice glow and eliminate the need for a highlighter, especially when you’re pressed for time.
Angelika is a cotton candy cool pink with some fine shimmer. On my medium skin (I wear the shade Barcelona in NARS ADLW foundation), it translates to a beautiful heathy pink color that looks really fresh. The cool tone doesn’t clash my skin at all so if you’re warm toned like me, don’t worry about that! The shimmer may seem a bit heavy in the pan but translates to a soft glow on the skin. The blush has a soft, smooth texture, blends like a dream and stays well for over 7 hours on my skin. I’ve never had trouble with the NARS blush formula, their textures vary slightly from color to color but they always blend beautifully on the skin and a little goes a long way. I did notice a bit of fall out when I used a slightly scratchy blush so a softer, slightly sparse blush may work best with this.
Overall, Angelika is a gorgeous bright pink that adds a luminous fresh color to the cheeks. I normally go for warmer pink blushes but I’m so glad I tried this because I love how the cooler pink pops on my skin without clashing with my warm coloring. The formula is excellent and consistent with the NARS blushes I’ve tried so far. I’ve not had the best sleep pattern and diet in the past few weeks because of the move so I’ve been relying more on makeup to make me look fresh and awake and this blush really lifts my face! Do check this out if you’re on the lookout for a brightening pink blush.

I found this blush really difficult to photograph on the cheeks especially with my studio lights gone. This is the best picture I could take. The pink flush looks a little faded here but in person, its a little brighter.
I’m wearing Angelika blush mixed with NARS Unlawful blush in the look below –
