L’Oreal Paris True Match Concealer : Review

Hey everyone!

Today I’m reviewing the L’Oreal Paris True Match Concealer which is a super blendable, liquid concealer. I quite like the Lakme and Maybelline liquid concealer formulations but somehow this concealer missed my radar. Its been around in the market for a while now but I only tried it out this month.

Price : Rs 945 for 5.2 ml

L’Oreal Paris True Match Super-Blendable Concealer Review

The concealer comes in a tube packaging with a brush type applicator. The applicator picks up quite a bit of product so I just put a few dots around my under eye and use my fingers or a dense fluffy brush to blend it out. The consistency is like a creamy liquid and it blends beautifully into the skin. It gives a very seamless, natural finish without streaks or uneven patches. The coverage is about medium which is good enough for my under eye area. You can easily sheer it out and blend it down for lighter coverage. I love the texture and blendability of this concealer, it just looks like skin and doesn’t look like a thick layer of makeup. The fluid texture feels hydrating in the under eye area as well. Once I set this with powder, it stays well with minimal creasing (a little creasing is unavoidable in you have lines). On really close inspection, I also noticed some very minute, ultra fine reflective particles that help brighten up the under eyes in a subtle way. Formula-wise, its a really good concealer!

The downsides are the price and the shade range. Its priced at Rs 945 for 5.2 ml which feels a touch expensive for L’Oreal, considering the quantity. Also, its available only in 3 shades in India. I use the medium shade Neutral N 4-5 which has a slightly orange undertone which helps correct my under eye darkness. Since its a bit dark and orange tinged for my complexion, I like to use it as a corrector before I apply my foundation (which is a little lighter than this concealer shade) and it works really well! The deep shade would work well for duskier complexions.

If you don’t want to invest in a pricier option like MAC, the L’Oreal Paris True Match Concealer is an excellent liquid concealer under Rs 1000. You can see it in action in my Nude Makeup Tutorial HERE.

    1. Hi Preethy, I face the exact same problem also since I am dusky. I am not sure which shade or other concealer to pair it with so it does not look ashy. Could you suggest what you do?

  1. i am using the same one these days and in same shade bt sadly the shade is dark for me. it makes my under eyes look dark so I too use it under the foundation and that too in the inner corner only.

  2. I use the darkest shade bit it looks ashy sometimes. Any idea Ankita what could be the reason. I have a medium complexion but have got a tan these days.

  3. Was rather looking for a good concealer. Would like to try this one after reading your review. Thanks for sharing this 🙂 I think this will better go for me since I didn’t like the cream base nes I used earlier.

  4. None of the shades were a good match for me so I had to skip this range, but whoa they seem to have increased the price alot 🙁

  5. May be I can give a try to this one ,thanks for the review Ankita, and all the best for ur tomorrow's workshop ….

  6. I am yet to check the shades in this concealer. Currently using the Mac select moisturecover concealer and hope I find the exact shade in the Loreal one..

  7. The limited shade selection is a serious drawback for a concealer. One wrong shade of concealer can make entire makeup go horribly wrong 🙁
    Nice review, as always 🙂

  8. I just wish they had more shade options in this range and also the price is too high considering it is a drugstore brand
