Revlon Shadow Links Eye shadows Review
The eye shadows come in a small rectangular packaging with a clear flip open lid. The grooves at the sides allow the shadows to slide into another pan to link them together. Thus you can create a custom palette of your own instead of carrying individual shades. The concept is great. I just wish the eye shadow quality and shades were better. The shades have a powdery texture and medium color pay off. Some of them come off a little dry and chalky on the skin. Using them with a wet brush makes the color more intense and helps them stay better as well.
The staying power is average – I get about 3-4 hours when used dry and 5-6 hours when I use them in a wet state. Using a primer or base definitely helps in extending the wear time. Being slightly powdery, they seem to blend easily but might sheer out as you blend. I feel the only way these are halfway decent is when you use a damp brush, they just perform very poorly in dry state. Overall, they are affordable but the formula is very average and needs improvement. You need to either use them with a base or with a wet brush to get decent color pay off and wear time. But with the lack of good eye shadow options in mid range brands, this is definitely something you could consider.
Gold is a soft yellow gold with a pearl finish.
Copper is a gold tinged copper which comes out more like a bronzy gold on the eyes. Also has a pearl finish.
Java is a chocolate brown shade with silver shimmer. This would have been stunning with gold instead of silver sparkle!
