The comes in a simple bottle packaging with a screw on golden cap and a plastic stopper. While the packaging is functional no doubt, I think a pump may have been more convenient and travel-friendly. The remover is a blend of carrier oils such as oils of Jojoba, Olive and Sunflower along with anti-oxidants such as Vitamin E and Wheat Germ Oil. In addition, it contains Jasmine flower oil and Rose flower extract. The oils are also infused with Marigold flowers which give it a distinct floral scent which I find mild and pleasant.

As a makeup remover, its definitely quite effective as the oil breaks down the toughest waterproof, long-wearing makeup formulations in a jiffy. It does however leave an oily film on the skin so it needs to be followed up with another cleanser, especially important if you have oily or acne prone skin as the oil residue may result in clogged pores. While my most preferred way of makeup removal is a cleansing oil or balm which emulsifies and washes off completely with water, I do like this over bi-phase makeup removers which tend to be harsh and drying on the skin. Micellar waters are great for light makeup but for long wearing makeup, you need something with an oil base and this remover works very well in that department.

I really like the soothing floral scent of this remover. It instantly calms me down and is a great way to start my evening skincare routine. On days when I have more time, I like to first remove all makeup with this oil, use a gentle face wash to get rid of all the oily makeup residue and then do a quick 8-10 minute face massage using this. Because it mostly contains light weight oils such as Jojoba and Sunflower, it doesn’t feel too greasy on my skin despite being an oil. I then wipe off all the excess oil after the massage and go to bed without using any additional products. I wake up with super soft, smooth and hydrated skin in the morning and any signs of dryness or dullness are completely gone! I have a few breakouts around my jawline at the moment but this oil hasn’t aggravated them at all and works quite well as a face massage/night treatment oil.

To summarise, this is an excellent all-natural makeup remover which contains a blend of light carrier oils along with flower extracts. Being an oil, it breaks down all kinds of makeup effectively though it does leave an oily film on the skin so you need to follow up with another cleanser, depending on your preference and skin type. I personally love using oils on my face as they are a great way to nourish the skin and keep it youthful and healthy. This doubles up quite well as a face massage oil and I like that is contains natural anti-oxidants, flower extracts and clean plant oils that are beneficial for the skin. Recommended!

  1. I have tried so many makeup removers and nothing seemed to work on my skin type. I use baby oil to remove my eye makeup …I agree with you that waterproof and long-lasting makeup needs something like this which can easily remove makeup. Will surely try this product 🙂

  2. I have always used the almond oil to remove my makeup and this one looks fancy and promising as well. Will have to buy this one when I come to India.

  3. This looks so great with essential oils to nourish your skin after make up removal. However I have super oily skin so I am not sure if this will work for me specially in summer.

  4. I am too finicky about cleansing and oils are the way to go with heavy makeup, as I feel. I would have loved to try this out, but the price hike! Seriously?

  5. I love using oil based makeup removers! Would love to try this out soon, and now thanks to Nykaa I don’t have to travel to a FE store which is quite far from my place 🙂

  6. i generally prefer these type of oils for makeup removal.. but another thing that i use after cleaning my face with oil based remover is Contact lens solution thats 100% safe for eyes and skin doesn't contain any chemical in it and cleans the left over residue of makeup and can be used inside eyes.
