Makeup Look : Bright Orange Lip, Bronzed Skin

Hi everyone! Spring is almost here, its time to bring out the brights! I went all out with this very spring-summer look today – soft brown eyes, bronzed skin and a bright blood orange lip! I’m wearing ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip color in shade Succulent. I wanted to keep the focus on the lip and kept the rest of the look very minimal. Read on for the full list of products.

Products used for this look :

  1. Sephora Smoothing Primer
  2. MAC Face & Body Foundation – C4
  3. MAC Matchmaster Foundation – 3.0
  4. Deborah Milano Dress Me Perfect Concealer – Apricot
  5. Estee Lauder Shadow Paint eye shadow – Chained
  6. NATIO Contour Kit (for eyes and cheeks, also used in this video)
  7. NARS Blush – Unlawful (reviewed here)
  8. MAC False Lashes Mascara
  9. Revlon Brow Fantasy
  10. Essence Long Lasting Eye pencil (lower waterline) – Ms. Money Penny
  11. ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip – Succulent

I used the Estee Lauder cream eye shadow as a base and then layered the NATIO Bronzer over it. I also used the NATIO bronzer to do a contour/bronze hybrid to add warmth to my skin. I kept my skin looking very fresh by mixing MAC Face & Body foundation, which is quite watery and dewy, with MAC Matchmaster foundation. I completely skipped powder as my skin was a little dehydrated and I didn’t feel the need for powdering. I used NARS Unlawful for the cheeks, its a shimmery beige, very flattering for Indian skin.

I finished out the eyes by curling the lashes and applying two coats of the MAC False Lashes mascara and a little bit of brightening liner along the lower water line. And for the lips, I used a bright blood orange lipstick – ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip ‘Succulent’. The formula is very VERY drying but the color is gorgeous and it stay on the lips for a long time! Its been a while since I did a bright lip and I’ve missed my bright pinks, corals and reds. Definitely doing more bright lips in the coming days!

  1. Superb!!! PL film a video on the makeup collections that you own and how you organize them. Also, would love to see your vlogging. Been a while since you filmed one. Keep up the good work 🙂

  2. The look is definitely a hit, so flawless and natural.
I have been hearing lot about ColourPop lately, gotta check out soon 🙂

  3. I really like nd follow ur suggestion plz tell me spring season skin care nd hair care routine I hv dry skin not from start but last year nd my hair bcm oily 4d after wash I m not using shampoo in regular basis..

  4. i’ll be completely honest and say that i shy away from anything remotely orange but this looks so bright and fresh on you that i’m tempted to give it a go

  5. You are absolutely stunning and pull off an orange lip so so so well! I have to say I really like the fact that you mix high and low end products in this look. I have not invested in MAC shadows because it seems so much more expensive to buy the singles versus like a naked pallet. I do own three of the naked pallets and I adore them! Is the quality of the shadow better or worse for MAC? I have also never used Colorpop, and I am curious as to how dry it makes your lips and how long it stays. I am pretty cheep when it comes to lip color, and I typically end up buying NYX when I was to try a new color. Do you think it is worth buying a higher end brand? I know Colorpop isn’t “high end” but it is pricier than like regular drug store makeup, isn’t it?
I really enjoy your blog keep the great content up 🙂
