Hi everyone! Today I’m reviewing two new launches from Deborah Milano this spring – the Gel Effect Nail Polish in shade no.70 and the 24Ore Color Mat Eyeliner in shade Lavender.
Deborah Milano Gel Effect Nail Polish – 70 (Rs 395)
The nail polish comes in a rectangular bottle and has a pretty good formula – smooth in consistency, near opaque in single coat, beautiful glossy finish. It doesn’t take long to dry and once dry, it stays fresh and glossy for about 4-5 days. It begins to show tip wear after that. No.70 is a beautiful fresh yellow-green, very pretty for spring and not too neon. I really like this range and would definitely want to try more shades.
Deborah Milano 24Ore Color Mat Eyeliner – Lavender (Rs 625)
This is a felt tip eye liner with a matte finish. The tip is fine enough for precise liner work and the color is very unusual, I love it! The best way to wear very bright and pastel kind of shades on the eyes it to pair it with a thin black liner in the area closest to the lash line. This shade looks quite striking on the Indian skin and it definitely gives a very fresh feel. The formula stays well but its not waterproof. I don’t mind that its not waterproof but what I don’t love about this is the color pay off. The pen feels slightly on the dry side and you need to do several passes to get a strong color on the eyes. That’s the only drawback!
Deborah Milano is available at Shoppers Stop and online at hmangasite.info.
Hi everyone! Maybelline has just launched a new eye shadow palette, the Rock Nudes palette. This is a predominantly cool-toned palette with a few glitter shades, balanced out with satin-y colors. Even though the quality isn’t the best, you can do a few different looks with this palette. The pigmentation is average and the colors are not too intense, which makes it a little easier to use for beginners. The glitter shades were a bit dry and chalky but most of the satin and pearl finish colors were smooth in texture. I didn’t love this palette to be honest but it is priced quite affordably at Rs 899 and is available online as well as across Maybelline counters.
I’ve done a glamorous smokey eye look using this palette. Check out the video below!
Hi everyone! I get a lot of queries regarding eye shadow palettes, especially those just starting out with makeup. I thought I’d share a quick recommendation with you. I picked up this palette from one of the Nykaa sales last year and have got so much use out of it! If you’re someone who would like to experiment a bit with eye makeup, the Freedom Pro Artist Pad – Black Arts is fantastic!
The palette is priced at Rs 2800 but during sales, you can get it for around Rs 2300 or so. Keep an eye out for the sale later this month if you’re interested in getting this palette!
It contains 28 eye shadows, mostly neutrals but the color variety is really good.
From light, matte nudes and shimmery pinks/peaches/golds to deeper bronze/brown/copper shades, the palette offers excellent color variation to suit the Indian complexion. There are a few cool colors too.
In terms of quality, except 1-2 shades, the eye shadows have a smooth texture, excellent color pay off, very good blendability and decent wear time (6+ hours).
While shimmers dominate the palette, it has enough matte shades, especially warm browns, to balance out the pearly colors. I think warm brown mattes are essential to add depth in the crease and for effortless smokey eyes. The browns in this palette are great!
Hi everyone! Nykaa has recently launched their liquid liner and I’ve been trying it out these past few days. Priced at Rs 299, this liquid liner comes with a pliable brush tip which gives a lot of control and flexibility. The liner has a deep black color, dries fairly quickly and gives a long-stay, water-resistant finish. Watch my video below for more details. You can buy this online HERE.
